But they saw him in the distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him. Genesis 37:18
Joseph was on his way to see his brothers. It turned out to be the last day he would see them for many more years to come. They sold him to the Ishmaelites and in turn he was sold to the egyptians. He was sold because he had been favored by their father, and they became jealous of him. His father had made him a coat of many colors; he had been favored by the father and it showed.
When you are favored by God, it will be shown. When you wear the coat of many colors, God’s favor, you will stand out from the crowd. When you dream big dreams, you stand out from everybody else. Dreamers are ultimately defined by what they stand for and are known more by what they dream than from who they are. Dreamers can be seen from a distance. Dreamers are feared. Safe people are intimidated by dreamers. Joseph’s brothers saw him from a distance and plotted against him. Be certain that because of what you stand for, by what you represent, you might be plotted against, shunned and attacked. But dreamers don’t back down and certainly dreamers don’t quit.
Dreamers are a special kind of people. They see opportunities where everybody else sees facts. They see cities when everybody else sees empty land. They see what can be, instead of what currently is. They are dangerous, because limitations are not a threat to them. Limitations become not an obstacle or a stumbling block to their progress, but a fuel that makes the winning even sweeter.
When God favors you, you will stand out and probably will not fit in. Congratulations you have the coat of many colors. When God favors you, you will make people around you uncomfortable because they cannot understand why you and not them. When God favors you, their mind cannot fathom the ideas that come out from your mouth. When they hear them they just benchmark them to their own experiences, and mock them. They size them up against to what, in their mindset, is possible to accomplish. When you are a dreamer, you are not afraid to try. Because even if you try and fail, you learn a new way that will not achieve the dream, a path that will not be used again, so you still come closer to your destiny. Dreamers are the head and not the tail.
The world we live in, is formulated by dreams of men and women that dared to think different. To think possible what to them was new and probably impossible in the eyes of other people. When you dream God’s dream for your life and walk in it, you will wear God’s favor; and it will be apparent. People might plot to kill your dream, but it won’t be possible, you have been favored.
It might not be absent of difficulties, but always remember that you are wearing the coat of many colors.

José estaba de camino a ver a sus hermanos. Resultó ser el último día en que los vería por muchos años. Ellos lo vendieron a los Ismaelitas y, a su vez, éstos lo vendieron a los egipcios. Lo vendieron porque su padre lo había favorecido y sus hermanos tenían celos de él. Su padre le había hecho un abrigo de muchos colores; su padre lo había favorecido y así lo mostró.
Cuando tienes el favor de Dios, se mostrará. Cuando te pones el abrigo de muchos colores, el favor de Dios, te destacas entre la multitud. Cuando sueñas grandes sueños, te destacas entre los demás. Los soñadores se definen por lo que representan y se conocen mejor por lo que sueñan que por lo que son. Los soñadores se pueden ver a la distancia. Los soñadores son temidos. La gente segura se intimida por los soñadores. Los hermanos de José lo vieron a la distancia y conspiraron contra él, lo rechazaron y lo atacaron. Ten por seguro de que debido a lo que representas, por lo que simbolizas, es posible que se conspire contra ti, seas rechazado y atacado. Pero los soñadores no se amedrentan y desde luego, no renuncian.
Los soñadores son un tipo especial de personas. Ven oportunidades donde todo el mundo ve hechos. Ven ciudades cuando todo el mundo ve tierra vacía. Ven lo que puede ser en lugar de de ver lo que hay actualmente. Son peligrosos, porque las limitaciones no son una amenaza para ellos. Las limitaciones no se convierten en un obstáculo o un impedimento para su progreso, sino que son el combustible que hace que la victoria sea aún más dulce.
Cuando Dios te favorece, te destacarás y, probablemente, no encajarás. Te felicito, llevas puesto el abrigo de muchos colores. Cuando Dios te favorece, harás que la gente a tu alrededor se sienta incómoda porque no pueden entender por qué tú y no ellos. Cuando Dios te favorece, sus mentes no pueden comprender las ideas que salen de tu boca. Al escucharlas, simplemente se refieren a sus propias experiencias, y se burlan de ellas. Les dan tamaño de acuerdo a lo que en su modo de pensar, es posible llevar a cabo. Cuando eres un soñador, no tienes miedo de intentar. Porque si lo intentas y fracasas, aprenderás una nueva forma de cómo no se puede alcanzar el sueño, un camino que no se volverá a utilizar; entonces, te acercarás más a tu destino. Los soñadores son cabeza y no cola.
El mundo en que vivimos está formulado por los sueños de hombres y mujeres que se atrevieron a pensar de manera diferente. Pensaron posible lo que para ellos era nuevo y probablemente imposible a los ojos de los demás. Cuando sueñes el sueño de Dios para tu vida y camines en él, llevarás puesto el favor de Dios, y será evidente. Podrá haber gente que quiera matar tu sueño, pero no será posible, porque has sido favorecido.
Las dificultades no estarán ausentes, pero recuerda siempre que llevas puesto el abrigo de muchos colores.
